BMW Overview
Unrivalled collectors example – 1/63 Global | 1/8 RHD | 1/1 UK | BMW M6 E63 Competition Edition was built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of BMW M Cars. The initial 100 units production schedule was cut to merely 63 worldwide of which 8 are RHD variants, with this being the only 1 UK vehicle and the last registered E63 M6. | The S85 engine found in the E63, was designed completely from scratch based on Formula 1 methodology – a high compression, short stroke, high revving, naturally aspirated 5,0L V10. BMW’s traditionally undergo subtle updates throughout the lifecycle of the model. Notably, The E63 M6 Competition Edition is powered by the latest iteration of the S85 B50 engine featuring new VANOS systems, implementation of dual drain holes for the oil pan, different bearings, longer set bolts for the cylinder heads, upgraded intake and exhaust valves, valve collets, upper spring plates and piston cylinder oil jets. The dynamics of the vehicle is improved with combination of uprated springs & dampers, sitting 10/12mm lower, accompanied by revised ABS & limited slip differential, along with re-engineered wheels making them wider & lighter, whilst also retaining identical look. The exterior of the of the Anniversary model is finished in Frozen Grey Metallic paint and also features a redesigned bonnet with dual centre-strakes. The cabin is executed in exclusive Extended Merino Leather with contrasting white stitching & piano black trim and complete with a full list of optional extras that were available for the M6 E63 generation. | This M6 Competition Edition has had 4 extremely diligent collectors, reflected in immaculate condition throughout, Full BMW main dealer service history, uninterrupted BMW Warranty remaining to date & accompanied by investment grade provenance file, consisting of all original booklets, invoices, marketing material, car cover etc. | The E63 M6 weighs 1710kg, which is only 60kg heavier than an E92 M3 with the weight saving made in crucial areas. The carbon fibre roof lowers the centre of gravity, whilst carbon boot lid & composite front wings, help to reduce weight over the front & rear axles. The combination of the legendary S85 N/A V10 engine, producing 507bhp & 384lb-ft of torque, gives it a power to weight ration of 3,4 kg/hp or 297 hp/ton. | The critically acclaimed E63 generation of M’s, happens to be the first & the last V10, whilst also the most powerful & the last naturally aspirated engine to power an M car. | Novelties did not stop at that… Ever since the introduction of “New Class” in the 1960’s, W. Hofmeister’s design & proportions were interrupted for the first time with Chris Bangle’s design (“Bangle Butt”), adding to the ‘one of a kind’ bucket list. | The E63 generation is the technological pinnacle that coincided with the dawn of the sports sedans / coupes, defining it as a peak of the naturally aspirated M cars. | The E63 M6 is the voice of the early 2nd millennia generation of sports cars. A brief moment in time, spanning across two decades, that might come to be known as ‘the’ generation of sport sedans & coupes, which is the most endangered segment of the automotive market since 2010, yet where BMW’s quintessential identity, established in the late 1950’s by the Neue Klasse resides. | Incorrect usage & inadequate servicing has led to a rapid deterioration in a number of fine examples, inevitably solidifying values of the remaining few & far between for the truly deserved collectability appeal. | For more information or to book an appointment - please contact our specialist team who will be happy to help. |
